Testing


A test wheel has been created to test the Inductrack characteristics. The wheel is wrapped with Inductrack material. The test wheel allows for the track to move below the train opposed to the train moving over the track. This creates a need for a small amount of track material for testing. If the Inductrack works, many characteristics can be examined such as levitation height versus velocity, magnetic drag versus velocity, levitation weight capacity versus velocity, levitation height versus weight, lateral allignment force versus velocity, and many other characteristics.

The test wheel that has been created is shown in figure 22.

Clamps have been placed to allow for precision "tweeking." The wrapped wheel is shown in figure 24.
