The Department offers degree programs in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E.), and Electrical Engineering with Computer option (B.S.E.E.). It takes special pride in the particularly close student-faculty relationships it has developed over the years.

The baccalaureate program in electrical engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, ABET Inc., 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202.

End of Era Bash News for Our Alumni

Dr. Don Schertz and Dr. Tom Stewart taught their last classes and advised their last senior projects as full time professors this past semester. These two ECE faculty members retired in May after many years of service to the ECE Department and Bradley University. Dr. Stewart graduated with his BSEE degree in 1959 from Bradley (the first class) and Dr. Schertz graduated with his BSEE degree in 1960 (obviously the second class). They both taught for a few years then took some time off to earn their MSEE and PhD degrees. If you count their time as students, Tom Stewart has been part of the Bradley community for 53 years and Don Schertz for 52 years; more than a century combined. Obviously, their retirements mark an end of an era and, to recognize this unique event in the history of the department, the ECE Department is throwing the “End of an Era” bash. The Bash will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 as part of Homecoming 2008. The tentative schedule for the Bash is posted here.
