Why PumpKIN?
PumpKIN's Role in this Project
PumpKIN is a free tftp client/server.
The 5282LITE development kit comes with the Coldfire 5282 microcontroller already loaded with a tftp client, which is used to transfer applications to the board. In other words, when software is written for the micro, it is compiled and then, using a COM program (like HyperTerminal), the tftp client on the micro must request to download the compiled software from a tftp server.
The version of PumpKIN used in this project was 2.7.1. Some of the notable features of PumpKIN include:
