Synchronization in Digital Communication
By Josh Mason and Bader Al-Kandari
Advised by Dr. James Stewart and Dr. In Soo Ahn
The purpose of this project is the development
of a Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) signal communication
system. The MATLAB/Simulink simulation environment, Code Composer
Studio Software (CCS) and two TI DSP boards are used in the project
development. The initial system is developed in the simulation environment.
The transmitter and receiver are implemented on each board separately
to obtain a uni-directional communication system. The receiver will
use coherent detection in the recovery of the transmitted QAM signal.
We will be presenting our project in the 2006 Student
Scholarship Exposition on April 13th. We hope to see you all there.
