Walt Disney approached us with the notion of developing an animal tracking system that could be used in Kruger African National Park. The purpose of this system is to prevent society and wild animals from interaction which could possilby lead to animal injuries and / or human injuries.
Two possible system implementations will be researched:
I. Intel 8051 Microprocessor with GPS and Wireless Communication
II . Personal Digital
Assistants
with GPS and Wireless Communication
IMPORTANT!!!!
It must be noted that time does not permit the creation of a working system that can be used in Kruger National Park. Therefore, a system will be developed that will work in Peoria to track a "Wild Senior." Once this Peoria based system is fully functional, the tracking system will be tested elsewhere, say Walt Disney World in Orlando. From this point on, the Ideal Tracking System refers to the ANIMAL TRACKING SYSTEM and the Actual Tracking System refers to the WILD SENIOR TRACKING SYSTEM.
1. Intel 8051 Microprocessor with GPS and Wireless
Communication
Tracy Thatcher and Allison McCoy will research the Intel 8051 possibilities.
2. Personal Digital Assistants with GPS and Wireless Communication
Ryan Ludwig will research the PDA possibilities!!!
Saka has moved her RF Amplifier project here.
