2.4 GHz Matched Variable Attenuator
by Melissa Anderson and Dana Gardner Advisors: Dr. S. Navarro and Dr. S. N. Prasad A 2.4 GHz Matched Variable Attenuator is part of a Transceiver Chip
used in Personal Communication Systems. The following report describes
the research done in a 2.4 GHz Matched Variable Attenuator Senior Project.
This report introduces the Microwave Attenuator by explaining its functions
and applications. A detailed description of the Attenuator's internal microwave
components and the design procedure using HP-EEsof simulation software
is included. Next, the fabrication technique and an explanation of testing
procedures using a network analyzer is discussed. Finally, the test results
of the simulated and fabricated attenuator are compared and contrasted.
