Telephone Security System
by
Norazizan Mohamad & Fazir Baharudin
Advisor: Dr. D. R. Schertz

The purpose of this project is to design, build and test a microprocessor-based security system that works with a telephone. The system is activated remotely by dialing the telephone numbers. The system should be able to turn on some lights, sensors and provide status reports, upon request from the caller. An alarm will go on once the sensors sense a rise in temperature, movement or sound. The controller is developed using a single chip microcomputer MC68705R3. Commands from the caller via telephone numbers are decoded using a tone decoder. A voice synthesizer is used to send the status reports to the caller.
