Image Guided Microcomputer Vehicle
by Michael Podeszwa & David Daud Advisor: Dr. J. Sennott As the cost of human labor rises, businesses are looking for ways to
replace repetitive jobs with that of machines. The goal of this project
is to replace a human mail carrier with a microcontrolled vehicle that
can do the same job. Employing an Intel 8751 controller, this vehicle has
a guidance system that uses two light-sensitive, charged-coupled diode
arrays to follow a path. The vehicle also has a collision avoidance system
that uses two forty kilohertz transducers in a sonar system for object
detection.
