Adaptive equalization is a process which works to counteract the adverse effects of a communication channel such as a phone line. The output of such a channel will be distorted and the function of the equalizer is to make the output look like the input. We used three separate approaches for equalization and each worked with a greater degree of accuracy. Besides computer simulations, the TMS32010 DSP board was utilized to make actual measurements of frequency responses and output waveforms.
