Microcomputer System Design
by Hatem LuLu and Haitham Nijem Different applications require different peripherals. Instead of having a separate controller board for each application, it is more cost effective to have one general controller board and a separate board which has the peripherals for that specific application. This project uses the 8085 microprocessor in designing a cost effective
controller board with 4K RAM and 4K ROM of memory, data and address bus
drivers, and bus and control signal connectors. A serial and parallel I/0
board and a keypad/monitor board are designed to interface with the controller
board.
